If you have not already joined the Austin Group, you may do so by joining the mailing lists. Our lists are sponsored and maintained by the Open Group. The mailing lists are 'open' to anyone to join and participate in. You are requested to read all of this page, for important information on how to subscribe/unsubscribe and retrieve your userid and password. At present we have the following mailing lists.

To Subscribe/Unsubscribe:
Either use the Self-Subscribe links above, or send in a request by email. Subscription requests should NOT be sent to the mail list itself but to the list name with the addition of "-request" at the end.
To subscribe or unsubscribe, send mail to that address with the word `subscribe' or `unsubscribe' as the subject. Please also include your full name and affiliation (company name or organization). You can also unsubscribe yourself using the screen here (you need to use your Open Group web account details).
If you are a new user of the Open Group mail and web system, the system will send you email within 24 hours assigning an account and password. Please note that account names are typically of the form initial.surname i.e. Joe Bloggs would be j.bloggs.
This account can be used to access the smart mail archive browser and reposter (see http://www.opengroup.org/austin/lists.html ) which will let you see the list of current subscribers, browse mail to date, and repost mail to yourself (useful for mail with attachments).
If you are a regular user of the Open Group mail and web system you will not receive an acknowledgement other than to start receiving list mail - you can, if you wish, confirm you've been added to the list by checking the subscribers list below.
